The Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is a community service organization dedicated to carry on the legacy of service that was started of 100 years ago by a group of 26 men on December 22, 1897. While the group has traded in its firefighting equipment and no longer plays a role in providing fire suppression services, it is a dedicated group of individuals who raise money to help the community, support the operation of a community building and give grants to support the volunteer fire service at large.
Today the spirit of community service that burned in those 26 men is kept alive by the members of the organization who have stopped fighting fires, but not stopped serving the community or the volunteer fire service at large. |
